CDL Permit Pass Pro Privacy Policy

CDL Permit Pass Pro (“the App”) is an unofficial study aid for people preparing for a commercial driver’s license (CDL) knowledge test, for iPhone and Android. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any state agency, DMV, the U.S. Department of Transportation or the FMCSA. Rules vary by state; always confirm with your state’s official CDL manual.

Information stored on your device

The App saves the following only on your device, to make the App work:

• Your language choice (English or Spanish) and the U.S. state you select.
• Your practice progress: which questions you answered correctly or incorrectly, and whether you have used the free drill.

We do not create accounts and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location. This information stays on your device and is removed when you delete the App.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play on Android. We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com), a subscription-management service, to confirm whether your subscription or purchase is active. RevenueCat receives purchase information (such as your purchase history, subscription status and an anonymous app user ID) from your device. This data is used to unlock and restore your purchases (app functionality) and to measure aggregate purchase and subscription metrics (analytics), and is not linked to your identity. Audio

Pre-trip vocabulary audio uses your device’s built-in text-to-speech. The App does not record audio and does not use the microphone.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your data for advertising or tracking across other apps and websites.
• The App contains no ads and no advertising trackers. It uses RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous user ID and your purchase history for app functionality and analytics. No data is sold.

Data retention & deletion

Practice data lives on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App. Purchase records are held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their own policies. Because the App has no accounts, the anonymous app user ID cannot be tied back to you; if you want us to ask RevenueCat to delete the records for your device, email us from the address below and include the date of your purchase.

Children

The App is intended for adults preparing for a CDL and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
